Many historical reasons can be cited for our interest in the "old ways". By far the most compelling and I think the most important is the historical linkage to our fore bearers. Our roots in America trace to 1628 in early New England and with subsequent waves of our families introduction through the early 1700's. A final impulse from our Prussian/Polish/German side came in the late 1800's.

We have always been the first to answer the call to arms, be it the American Revolution to modern times. There is a simple word for this-patriots! This experience is our way to relive the days of high adventure and try to capture the spirit of what makes this country the greatest freest place on Earth.

We embrace all the cultures and traditions of the period not just those of our European upbringing. We were schooled from birth in the ways of nature, to be one with the spirit, to be stewards of the land, and have taken an oath to brotherhood. Although we are individuals with different pasts, we are now joined as a clan in search of a vision-where that will take us is any ones guess but the journey so far is beyond our initial expectations, and the future looks even brighter.

This site personifies what we are spiritually and what we will be remembered for when our tracks no longer mark this Earth.

Lastly great honors must be given to Grandparents (Frank and Emma Littke and Randolph and Mildred Anderson) who provided formative guidance and wisdom in living with the land. Milton and MaryEllen Littke as parents provided the joy of living and discovery, patriotism, the inspiration to better one’s self through hard work, and the encouragement to be creative. Roy Evans as scout-master for Troop 59 (Oak Harbor, WA) provided the catalyst to mold us into the ways of scouting and the Order of the Arrow. The debt owed to these individuals can never be repaid.
