I started going to rendezvous because it was an escape from my job. I have always like the Long Hunter and Mountain Man way of life, but I had never heard of reenacting it until 1999 when I went to my first one, and after that I was hooked. I started out with all store bought clothes and gear, but soon after I started making my own, now I have very little that I did not make or trade for. I look forward to each camp and hate to come home when it's over. The fellow members of my lodge make it even more enjoyable they are always willing to help anyone, and share all they have, this is the way I was raised and it sure feels good to be a part of this family, I love them all and feel blessed since I met them.
